The Shahut Hotel

I was in town for a friend’s wedding and came away really impressed, especially by how good the value was compared with Ireland. The staff were so helpful with taxis, haircuts, translations, tailoring, whatever came up, always with a smile. My room was spacious, peaceful, and cool, and there was loads of delicious food at the buffet breakfast. I couldn’t find fault with the hotel.

It was my first time in Antakya, so I needed help figuring things out. Buket, Ugur, and Mehmet were all so kind and helpful, even assisting me with ordering everything. Their help went beyond what I expected. Thank you, friends, for putting in so much effort. Employees like you are a real treasure for a hotel. The location is very decent, and the place feels safe and pristine. The quality throughout is very high. Zibi.

It’s a luxurious hotel in the old city center, and the staff are friendly. The big problem is the sound and light coming in through the doors and windows, which aren’t well insulated. I stayed on a Friday night, and music from a nearby nightclub was extremely loud from 8 p.m. until midnight. I couldn’t sleep, even after they moved me to a better room.

The hotel is in the old French army offices quarter, right in the old town near shops and restaurants. Breakfast had a great selection, and the staff were so friendly and willing to help. I’d recommend it.
