Crowne Plaza Hotel Antalya, an IHG Hotel

Mustafa made us feel welcome right from the first day, and went out of his way to make sure everything was going well. He was professional, friendly, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. His service made our hotel stay more comfortable and enjoyable. He’s a real asset to the team, and we appreciated his help very much. Highly recommended!

The location was excellent, and the view was beautiful, especially from the side-sea rooms where you can see both the mountains and the sea. The staff were kind and did try to be attentive. We were grateful for the upgrade from a side sea view to a direct sea view, but our stay still left us disappointed and upset. We expected a pleasant 5-star experience and have no desire to return. This feels like a 3-star hotel, not a 5-star one. Both our room and our friends’ room smelled strongly of cigarettes, despite our clear requests for non-smoking rooms. It was shocking that smoking was allowed in the rooms at a “5-star” hotel. The staff agreed and moved us straight away, but the general condition of the rooms was still well below that standard. The furniture and equipment looked decades old and worn out. Our room was dusty, the air conditioners were very dirty, and there were black hairs on the bedding. The bathroom was dirty in both rooms and clearly hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. The mattress was hard, and the pillows were extremely thin and uncomfortable. At 8:30 in the morning, a housekeeper knocked and opened the door right away without waiting for an answer. Later, on our way to breakfast, she asked if we were checking out and when she could enter, as if she didn’t have an up-to-date occupancy list. Breakfast was basic and disappointing. There was very little protein, the omelette was greasy, the cheese was dry and looked like it had been sitting out for 2-3 days, and there was almost nothing sweet apart from jam. We left hungry. The staff tried their best, but even they seemed aware that the hotel needs a full renovation, different standards, and a new approach to service. Everything felt old, even the chair at the desk.

The staff were easily the best part of my stay. Rim, Korkmaz, and everyone else were amazing. I had a long conversation with Rim, who was a wonderful host, friendly and professional while taking care of my requests. The location was my next favorite thing, 20/10. Internet speed was good too, about 8/10. The room was outdated, maybe 2/10. Updating it and charging a premium per night would make sense for a hotel in such a great location. Breakfast was poor, around 1/10. It wasn’t varied, the simit was very dry, and the tea tasted like it had been cooked over and over. I tried eating there once and didn’t dare go back. The amenities also get 1/10 from me, the facilities were very outdated. I came for a haircut and was told when to arrive, but the barber never showed up. I waited another 30 minutes and still no one came.

Rim was especially supportive and professional, many thanks to her. We had a great time at the New Year’s Eve event, and the dinner was amazing. The steak in the main dish was particularly tasty and tender. Thank you for a great stay.
