Esperanza Hotel

Esperanza hotel has the friendliest staff, and the clean beds and rooms are comfortable. I liked having a balcony overlooking either the town or the pool. There are fresh, healthy buffets three times a day, and the pool is just the right size, with soft music and quiet surroundings. Five stars from me!

The food was good and the staff were generally friendly, but the way our arrival was handled was unacceptable, unprofessional, and not worth what we paid. We arrived at 2 AM on August 7th after paying for the night of August 6th, only to be told our rooms were under maintenance. They sent us to the much cheaper nearby hotel, Kapris, for the night. Its room was stuffy, uncomfortable, and in poor condition. We returned in the morning expecting to check in, but our rooms still weren’t ready after breakfast. We had to wait until lunchtime to move in. Nobody apologized despite the inconvenience and the obvious price difference between the hotels. The receptionist said compensation “might” be possible, but never promised it, and in the end we got nothing.

The staff’s personal attention made us feel truly welcome, and every meal was freshly prepared. Our six-night stay began by chance: the nearby hotel we’d booked had been closed down when we arrived at 8pm, so we tried Esperanza and have no regrets. Nur made us tea while we arranged to change our booking, and her warm welcome set the tone. The manager was on site every day, and the welcoming atmosphere seemed to start from the top. Supportive management meant relaxed, dedicated staff and happy guests. The downside was poor soundproofing. At times, we were disturbed at night by street noise and rowdy guests arriving in the lobby.

The food was delicious, with something new each day, and the all-inclusive option was very good. There’s also a private beach with sun loungers and umbrellas, and it was a nice beach. Our room was clean and had a nice view. The bathroom could have used a proper shower instead of a paddling pool, but it wasn’t enough to take off a star. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, from the smiling reception gentleman who carried our suitcases upstairs to the waiters and the thorough, very nice cleaning lady. The manager was lovely and clearly professional with clients. Sahir, whose name I may not have spelled correctly, was always there to help at any time of day. We were very pleased with the holiday, though a little sad we only switched to this hotel halfway through and could have picked Esperanza from the start. I recommend it 100%! 😍♥️
