Kervan Hotel

The room had working AC, which was useful in Antalya's heat, and breakfast was good. The hotel is nicely located, but the pool sits in the middle of the restaurant downstairs, so it doesn't really work as a pool. We also had trouble with hot water and had to ask for it to be turned on each night before showering. Outside voices carried straight into the noisy rooms.

I was charged for room-bar items I hadn't used, which left me questioning the hotel's billing practices. The room also had an unpleasant smell that stayed throughout my visit, and the bedsheets were dirty as soon as I arrived. Those cleanliness and billing problems made the stay disappointing, and I can't recommend Kervan Hotel. Better hygiene and more transparent charges could have made the experience much better.

The rooms were comfortable, but ours smelled terrible, and there were black plastic bags and other things left in the hallway. There isn't a front desk, so we got no information or light-activation cards, and there's nowhere outside the room to sit or relax. The pool is only decoration for the restaurant. This is really a busy restaurant with rooms upstairs, noisy until midnight, not a hotel. Still, it's right in the old town, so night owls who only need a clean room to sleep might be fine here.

We'd already unpacked, done laundry that was drying outside, showered, and were ready for bed when the owner knocked around 9pm and told us to get out at once. He said we'd been put in the wrong room and that the other rooms were two streets away. My friend was sick, and our husbands had gone to get dinner, so we called them to come back. The owner stayed and acted intimidating. When our husbands questioned what was happening, the hotel owner/manager threatened to call the police. We had checked in at about 3pm for a one-night stopover, with my husband and another couple. We were made to repack everything and walk two streets to another apartment above a restaurant with live music until 12pm. It wasn't a hotel as advertised. We had already bought dinner, and the move took 1.5hrs. When we asked for a replacement meal, they said we'd have to pay and offered no discount, saying it was our fault. DO NOT BOOK HERE.
