Flamingo Residence Hotel

The Wi-Fi advertised as free was so weak it was practically unusable. I also found the ventilation ineffective, with smells from other rooms, especially cooking or smoke, coming into mine. Trash left in the hallways could sit for two or three days before housekeeping collected it, and mosquitoes, cockroaches, and other pests built up. The walls are extremely thin, so noise from neighboring rooms carries through, particularly at night. I could hear inappropriate noises that don't seem suitable for children or families, so I wouldn't choose this hotel for a family trip. Guests travelling with pets are charged a deposit for possible damage, but even when there is no damage, getting it back seems very unlikely, with management finding excuses to keep it. With these problems, I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are much better options in the same area for similar or slightly higher prices, and they offer a more comfortable, higher-quality stay.

The apartment was spacious and clean, and the hotel is in a quiet location. I stayed for a week with my family, including two children, and the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. A family member in a wheelchair joined us for a few days, and the staff helped with that as well. The internet was the only downside. It kept going on and off.

The outside view was beautiful, and we had a good time by the pool, even though it was quite small. The area felt a bit tight, with fewer people around, but the positive vibes were still there. The location gets three stars from me because there are a few local shops but no street bazaar. The staff were friendly in and out of the hotel, helped with our luggage, and showed us to the room. Service was good. Music outside was quiet at 4pm, so we asked them to turn it up a bit. They did, and the mix of English and old holiday songs made the place feel more lively. Drinks, food and other things cost extra, and the water in our room went off a few times, but they fixed it. No other issues with the apartment.

The staff were the reason for my four stars. They're genuinely nice and very helpful. Our modern apartment had a kitchen, and the bed was comfortable. The shower was hit or miss for hot water, and you can tell some things are dated. I think they are trying to keep prices reasonable so people and families can have an affordable holiday. It's about a 30-minute walk to the beach, with some cool cafes and bars on the way. Good value overall.
