Kaucuk Hotel

The area is beautiful, but the staff treated me incredibly poorly. The hotel feels overpriced, and whatever it looks like from the outside, the service ruined the experience. I’m sad to give one star, but the service was awful. I’m one of the nicest people, and I take care of cancer patients, so I was shocked by how disrespectfully I was treated. Nearby hotels are clean, professional, and very loving. Please don’t rent here.

The breakfast was quite poor compared with other boutique hotels, and I didn’t feel comfortable during my one-night stay at Kaucuk hotel. The owner lives on the property, which made me feel more like an intruder or unwelcome guest than a paying customer. When I mentioned that my room lacked a heavy curtain to block the sunlight, I was told that was simply its design. I’d suggest looking at other places in Kaleici, Antalya, where you can feel at home and still have privacy.

The room felt like my private space, but I was required to leave my key at the front desk. When I came back, they’d gone in to change the air conditioner temperature, even though I’d only just arrived. Nobody should enter my room like that. There’s also a problem with hot water, since it comes from solar heating and sometimes isn’t available. The street-facing room can be noisy, and the curtains let sunlight through.

I was outside Kauçuk Hotel looking at Google Maps without saying anything when someone approached me in Turkish and told me to leave because I was supposedly too loud. I was also called rude, though I hadn’t said a word. I’ve only ever written five-star reviews, so I was shocked by the way I was treated. Turkey is full of love, but this hotel truly disappointed me. I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m really saddened.
