Royal Wings Hotel

The buffet was enjoyable, and the evening patisserie was a particular favorite, with a great choice of cakes and cookies. Staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, and the place was clean and well maintained. One entertainment evening was in poor taste, but we could just leave and do something else, like eat more cakes. We'd definitely come back, and stay longer next time.

The entertainment was okay, and the hotel was fairly clean with decent rooms. The food, though, was horrible: it looked nice but tasted of nothing, was over-spiced, and was the same every day. Staff seemed friendly only when you tipped them. Drinks, including alcohol and soft drinks, were really watered down, and the shops were very overpriced. The air conditioning didn't work well, and after an hour it smelled like stale clothes. The pool was hot, and the walls in the room were paper thin. Outside, it felt like a building site, with buildings falling down. I wouldn't recommend the sketchy markets there. They target women and teenage boys. At night by the pool, I was followed into the toilets and asked how old I was. I don't recommend this place at all. It isn't worth the money.

I was there for five days in early November, just as the off-season started. There were loads of meal options, from early and late breakfast to lunch, snacks, tea time, and dinner, with a different dinner theme each day. The beach was crowded, though people started clearing out around 4 p.m. The water park was fun, but you have to carry the provided tube back up the slide. The luna park was okay, mainly for kids. There were lots of Germans, and the staff could speak German. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels each day. There were random activities at 9 p.m., like bingo and quiz nights. I ate, drank, and swam, and by the end of day five I'd gained 2 kg 😭

The pools were a dream, especially the huge lagoon-style one and the waterpark the kids loved. The foam party and shows brought a lot of fun to the afternoons, and the animation team kept things lively without being pushy. We also liked the easy beach access, the pier for relaxing, and the spa, where I had one of my best Turkish baths. We spent two weeks at Royal Wings Hotel. The grounds were spotless, the hotel was beautiful, and staff made a real effort to welcome us. Our room was spacious and modern with a stunning sea view; housekeeping kept it clean and restocked the minibar every day. Meals had lots of variety, and the à la carte options were great too. It was a lovely mix of family fun and relaxing in comfort. We'll definitely return.
