Fourpoints Airport Hotel

For a quick layover, the room had everything I needed: a very comfortable bed, hot shower, coffee maker, fridge, and coffee and tea. It was clean and comfortable, and there’s a grocery store across the way if you want snacks for your travels. I could even order local food at the desk late at night and have it brought to my room, which was welcome after arriving tired and hungry. It’s good value, and I’d stay again for another short stop. A couple of things to know: the hotel was doing construction, and I woke up to noise after checking in past midnight. Luckily, checkout wasn’t until noon, so I still had the morning to relax with coffee and a hot shower. Also, my airport shuttle reservation wasn’t there, which made things difficult. A taxi is faster and easier, costs around 10-12€, and the front desk can order one for your departure.

I especially appreciated Sardar’s help when he carried my luggage to the car. I was traveling alone, and he was respectful and supportive. He even refused a tip, which was very kind. The hotel is close to the airport, so it worked well for me, though it’s a bit far from Istanbul’s main attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, check-in was easy, and the staff were generally polite. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, but good enough. I had a good stay and would say it’s best for a short visit or when you need to be near the airport.

I want to thank Omer and the village for making me feel at home. People here seem welcoming to foreigners, and the area has a friendly, family feel. There aren’t clubs or bars, but a few shops do sell alcohol. The village has buses straight to Central Istanbul and the airport. You can walk to most things in about 15-20 minutes, including places to get phones and SIM cards, so I’d wait on most purchases until you arrive, except alcohol. Even without phone service, it’s almost impossible to get lost. There’s also a shopping area about 30 minutes from the hotel with a strong Turkish culture vibe and the kinds of things you’d find in Central Istanbul. FourPoints Hotel is roughly a 15-20 minute taxi ride from Istanbul Airport (IST). They offer van transport for around 20-25 Euros.

I had to book this urgently for my boss, and what happened didn’t match what I expected from the website photos. They showed modern, pleasant rooms, but the taxi took him to another building farther away that looked different from the pictures. The window faced a wall, and the on-site water wasn’t drinkable. That wasn’t clearly stated when booking. This is only my experience, but I’d suggest checking the details carefully and using a booking platform with customer support if possible, in case anything goes wrong.
