The lobby and room were beautiful, everything was very clean, and the staff were kind. Getting around was manageable with the free shuttle included in our price. It was a comfortable limousine-style ride, the airport wasn’t far, and a seaside town was about a 10-minute bus ride away. But there’s really nothing nearby, no shops or restaurants, despite how the map makes it look. Without the shuttle, taxis to the airport or seaside town are expensive. We picked this hotel partly because it was advertised as a spa hotel with lots of pool photos. We only found out on arrival that the pool water was cold and we couldn’t use it, which was a big disappointment since we wanted to relax in the pool and sauna before our long trip to Japan. We were also told the Turkish bath, normally 20 euros per person, was broken, and using the regular sauna would cost 20 euros each. We didn’t take that offer. We felt it should have been free for hotel guests, especially with the pool unavailable and the Turkish bath broken. We skipped the hotel restaurant because it seemed expensive and had a lovely dinner at a restaurant by the sea instead. Breakfast was a large plate of tasty cheeses with ham, jam, and lots of bread. They were accommodating to my 3-year-old son and me, as we don’t eat gluten, and made us omelettes. Apart from the disappointment with the pool, we had a positive stay. Maybe it’s better in season, or ask ahead whether the pool is working.

After a long day of travel, this was a lovely surprise. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and helpful. The airport shuttle both ways was especially nice. Thank you!

This is my second stay here, but this time I had a frustrating problem with a simple taxi request. The front desk agent didn’t speak English, so communicating was difficult and she had to use a phone translator throughout. I asked her to call a yellow taxi to the airport. Eventually she said the hotel’s green taxi would cost 50 euros including the hotel fee. I said I’d paid 15 euros to get here and wouldn’t pay more, and she told me to arrange the taxi myself. I asked for the manager, but later I was told they refused to call a taxi for me, or even speak with me. I’ve worked in hotels and don’t understand why she wouldn’t help when I don’t speak Turkish. Very disappointed that this straightforward request went so badly.

The room was clean and spacious, with a nice shower, and the staff were generally polite. Still, this stay fell far short of what I’d expect from a place advertised as a 5-star spa hotel. The hammam was out of order, and the sauna cost an extra €20 per hour. I’ve never come across that in a true 5-star hotel, where spa access is normally included. The pool was the only facility available, but it was in full shade beside loud construction work. There were just four sun loungers, always occupied, and nowhere set aside to enjoy the sun. Construction noise right below our windows woke us at 9 a.m. Breakfast was advertised until 11, but when we came down at 9:30, almost everything was gone. There was no hot food, just boiled eggs, and nothing was replenished. Staff first refused to make scrambled eggs, though other guests eventually got them after we spoke to the manager. The coffee was instant 3-in-1, not proper Turkish coffee. There were no bathrobes or slippers in the room either, things I’d expect at this level. Guests shouldn’t have to request basics like loungers or breakfast items; attentive staff should take care of that before problems come up. The experience was nowhere near expectations, and the star rating on Booking.com and other platforms needs a serious review because it’s highly misleading.
