When we checked in, the bathroom was so dirty I had to call the owner. She handed me some cleaning products, and I had to scrub all the dirt myself. There were spiders and webs all over the place, and the kitchen sponge was rotten, so I bought a new one at the grocery store. We weren’t told until check-in that breakfast was at a nearby café. The hours were limited to three hours, and the food was very basic with little choice. Marmelat cafe treated us badly, and I wouldn’t recommend it. On Monday we were told breakfast was only served from 12-1 pm. When I raised it with Masukiye Otel, the owner apologized and said they usually close on Mondays. We later found out they were hosting a birthday party. My birthday was on Sep 3, and I’d told the owner. She offered to provide a birthday cake at the house. But after I messaged booking about the total amount, because she’d charged me more than the amount shown in my reservation, she wrote that she’d cancel the cake because I’d complained. I thought that was rude to say and do.

The little garden that came with our ground-floor room was such a nice place to unwind. Inside was spotless, and the mini-fridge came in handy in the summer. We had a wonderful stay, and the service was so friendly. Thank you! 🙏🏻

The hotel is in a peaceful spot right at the entrance to Kartepe, and the price felt fair for the service. Everyone on staff was helpful and welcoming, and the place was spotless. I was really happy with my stay and would recommend it. I'll definitely come back.

I arrived with doubts after reading the Google reviews, but the service turned out to be fantastic. I've stayed around Maşukiye many times, and this place stood out. Please don't let inaccurate reviews mislead people. The people working hard here deserve credit, and this is a place for quality service.

The location is the one thing it has going for it. We were greeted by a woman with a sour expression, and she tossed the key toward us as if we were an unwanted burden. The room was in bad shape: cobwebs on the walls and ceiling, cockroaches beneath the bed, and about an inch of dust in the wardrobe, so I couldn't hang up my clothes. Being surrounded by nature doesn't excuse skipping pest control and cleaning. The mini-fridge didn't work either.
