The staff took care of so many things without us having to ask. They sent fruit to the room, ordered a meal, made winter tea, and sorted out our airport transfer. During our 24-hour layover in Istanbul, our travel agent booked us here, and we were really pleased. The room was spacious and lovely, with a small fridge, plenty of outlets, and a kettle with tea and coffee. The beds were comfortable after a tiring journey, and the shower had hot water and strong pressure. Everyone was warm and accommodating. It felt like a great example of Turkish hospitality, and I’m sure we’ll return. We’ll recommend it to other IST transit travelers looking for a comfortable place to rest between flights.

The hotel arranged airport pickup and our trip back the next day, which made everything easy. We stayed one night at Grand Hamit Hotel before our flight, and the staff were kind and welcoming. Breakfast was included, and we had a nice chat with a few other Canadians there. Our room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. We’d recommend it if you’re after a convenient, cozy stay near Istanbul Airport (IST).

The bed was comfortable, and the shower came with all the usual amenities like conditioner, shampoo, and soap. But I found the rooms tiny, and our window looked straight onto a wall. I was there for a day after Turkish Airlines put me on an overbooked flight, and the restaurant food was the worst part. They served whatever they had with no choice, and the coffee machine was out of order, so there wasn’t even good coffee. I spent the day eating rice because there were no vegan or vegetarian options beyond that, some tomatoes and lettuce, or oily soups. I really don’t understand how this can be rated 5 stars.

The Karakayi family and their staff made our Istanbul stay a wonderful experience. They were incredibly kind, accommodating, and went above and beyond with their service. The Grand Hamit By Karadayi was good value for what it offers, too. The lobby has been tastefully updated and was spotless, and our room was top notch, with beautiful furnishings and finishes. We felt like royalty. Well done, Karadayis!

A huge snowstorm canceled my brother’s flight and we had to stay five extra days. Grand Hamit was clean, the service was friendly, and the whole place was awesome. I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.
