We were too worn out after a long day to deal with Airbnb, so we ended up staying despite the problems. The host wouldn’t cancel or refund us, and at the time we didn’t have the energy to contact support. Our room had badly fitted windows, so cold air came through the gaps and we could hear everything outside. There wasn’t any hot water, either overnight or in the morning, and no heater. The AC barely warmed the room, even after running for 5-6 hours. Some rooms smelled awful, while others had no electricity. The place was freezing because all the windows had been left open in December. The first room we were shown was dusty, probably from the open window, with what looked like drilling debris scattered across the table and sheets under the bed. We’d booked on Airbnb even though there were no reviews, mainly because we needed somewhere affordable. It turned out to be a bad choice.

The mosquitoes made the rooms unbearable, and even after we complained, nothing was done. The air conditioners seem like they’re from the 90s, even though they charge 6,000, 7,000, or 8,000 TL a night. When guests run into trouble, nobody steps in to help. We’ve just left, and I’d hate for anyone else to have the same experience. We’ll be making a complaint to the Ministry of Tourism and following up, because we feel the guesthouse owners have treated us unfairly.

It’s really convenient for the beach and the market, both close by. The staff were attentive, and breakfast had plenty of variety and was quite adequate. Definitely worth a visit 🤍

I was very happy with my week-long stay. The rooms were spacious and airy, the hygiene was excellent, and the staff were really friendly. For Arsuz, this is one of the few hotels I’d consider staying at, and the prices are reasonable too.
