The place itself is really wonderful, and our afternoon looked like it would be lovely. After a long drive, we visited the stables and saw wonderful horses, had coffee at sunset, went swimming, and thought we’d enjoy a short stay and get some rest. Then, at 11 PM, someone came into our room. They only waited to open the door after I shouted from bed for them to hold on. It was a repairman fixing a broken door lock. Strange, but we forgot about it half an hour later. Then the nightmare began. A full construction crew started renovations at midnight, using every loud tool imaginable. The bedside tables were moving. Reception staff disappeared for a few hours, and the crew either didn’t understand English or seemed to ignore the word “stop.” We had to go outside and nap on a bench until they finished at 2 AM. I’ve never had anything like that happen. This stay was quite a nightmare.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was really well arranged. The bathroom was great, with very good water pressure. One of the best places I’ve ever been. Totally worth it.
