For the price, it was really good and fine for a couple of days. They can clean every day if you ask. Breakfast was poor and the same each morning: boiled eggs, tomato, cucumber and cheese. It’s meant to run from 8 to 10, but by 9 they may already be short on bread or eggs.

The staff were very nice, though they spoke little English. The room was okay for a quick stay, but the mattress wasn’t comfortable, the bathroom was very dark, and the shower was temperamental and leaked. The neighbours next door shouted on their balcony until 2 a.m., argued on the phone and smashed things. I’ve stayed in much better places for this price in the area, Istanbul and antalya. Pay a little more for comfort.

I’m here for hiking, touring and birdwatching, and since things cost so little, I’m also taking care of some minor medical and dental issues. I’ve already stayed three weeks and will probably stay three more. The staff and management at the Araucaria have been absolutely stellar and accommodating. My room is spotless, comfortable and quiet, with good soundproofing and a balcony. The building has an elevator and rates accessible to people with mobility limitations. Continental breakfast is included, and it’s very good and nourishing. It’s convenient for Akdeniz University, restaurants and shops, and public transport is easy to reach. From here, places like the old town, beaches and waterfalls are just a short ride away. I like being a little removed from the glam and pull of the heavily touristic old town, so I highly recommend the Araucaria to anyone visiting Antalya. It’s my go-to for the rest of this trip and the future trips I expect to make.

If you’d like a peaceful stay away from Antalya’s crowds, this is a good pick. The hotel is outside the city, about 2.5 km from konyaalti beach, with good prices and very helpful staff. The front desk lady speaks English, and the restaurant lady was so sweet and helpful during my day in antalya. There are plenty of eating options nearby, and the bus stop is right outside on the main road. One bus takes you straight to the city centre in, I think, just 5 to 10 minutes. I’d definitely recommend it and would love to stay again.

The room was small, though the airco was good. Thin walls made it a bit noisy. There was no breakfast because of Covid-19.
