Terracota Hotel

The room had no AC, fan, or usable wifi, and it was stifling. They couldn’t offer a fix, so we asked for a refund and said we’d find another hotel. The manager, a woman who seemed to be the owner, didn’t speak English, wasn’t friendly, and never smiled. From the start, we felt unwelcome. They refused to refund us and kept saying they hadn’t received the money. They also claimed we hadn’t paid, even though I showed the payment on my bank account. After several minutes of confusion, we agreed to keep the room because they wouldn’t return the money. Instead of trying to resolve things, they called the police to remove us. Two officers came, and we had to leave despite having paid and despite there being no complaint against us. As we were leaving, the manager’s daughter told us to wait while she inspected the room, as if we’d stolen something. I’ve traveled around the world since January this year and booked many hotels, and this has been my worst experience so far. Looking at the other bad reviews on Google Maps, I see we’re not the only guests who say they were treated this way or made to feel unwelcome, or as if someone wanted to steal from them. It’s a shame.

We were a group of 12 friends, and the hotel ended up being the best part of our holiday. The staff impressed us, and they met all our requests. The whole experience went way beyond what we expected. Thanks for a memorable stay, we’ll come back :)

The place was beautiful and so clean, and staying with the family and staff felt like being with family. The food was super tasty, and breakfast brought a different little thing to try each day. It all felt a bit magical. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ✨️

I loved my time at this beautiful, exotic place. It’s been completely renovated and is ideal for tourists wanting to experience Cappadocia. This family-run hotel has such warm service, and the owners make the food by hand too. Thanks so much, Umir, for helping us during our tour.
