Mavi Kuş

The beach nearby and the bay are both beautiful. Everyone on staff was welcoming and friendly, and I really appreciate the effort they put in. A big thank you to them. I hope I can come back next year.

We ended up at Mavi Kuş (Blue Bird) on the way to Sivrice because there was a chance to pick up my friend’s charger, which he’d left behind a few weeks earlier. Such a lucky excuse to stop. We ate really well in the sweetest little place in Sivrice. Rüzgar Ceyda Alpak has practically built the place with her own hands, and her touch in the kitchen is something else. She invited us to join her for dinner, and I knew we’d enjoy it, but I didn’t expect the food to be that good. The regular menu was fantastic. She’d made the lakerda herself and topped it with caviar imported from Japan. We also loved a meze made with rooster’s comb herb. We had lovely wine, chatted, and played a really fun card game together. Rüzgar makes everything she touches more beautiful. If you’re in the area, I wholeheartedly recommend seeing it for yourself ☺️

The sea is only a three minute walk away, and they have their own sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach, with quick service if you need anything. It’s a quiet place for a getaway, without the inflated prices or pointless menus. My wife, son, and I stayed one night, and I had the best meal of my life here. I’ve traveled both around the country and abroad, and this was far and away my best food experience. The cuisine is incredible, I could say it a million times :))) If you want tranquility, peace, and quality, this is the spot. Just trust Ms. Rüzgar and her wonderfully kind team.

The meatballs, hummus, fig and goat cheese salad, and zucchini flower tempura were all delicious. The food and atmosphere were both fantastic. Chef Rüzgar Hanım and her daughter even came by our table to look after us. Many thanks to Rüzgar Hanım and everyone on staff 💙
