Celil Pansiyon

The kitchen was filthy, with dirty stove counters and old, smelly dishcloths. Turning on the tap flooded the floor. The bathroom was so toxic that I couldn’t use it, a serious health hazard. I’d booked the previous month, but when I arrived, I was told my room was gone and was put in this awful place. I didn’t go to the original pansiyon the next day, but later saw the room. Its shower curtain was held together with grey /black tape, and there was black mould. I actually got a bad chest infection.

Terrible place, old and very dirty. The kitchen was filthy, the bathroom awful, with fungus and a rotting door, and there was fungus in the bedroom closets. The mattresses had brown stains. There was no Wi-Fi in the apartment, even though it was advertised. When we said we didn’t want to stay, the owner raised their voice and became unfriendly. After we complained to booking, the owner lied and told them they’d offered us another option. There was only one other room left in the hotel, and we’re a family of six. We left without a refund. They can enjoy our money, since it’s the cleanest thing in their hotel!

The minibuses stop right outside Celil Pansiyon, and it’s close to both the center and the ferry port, so it’s handy for exploring the city. My mum and I only stayed one night, but we really enjoyed it. It’s a simple, nice and clean place with what you need: a comfortable bed, TV, air conditioning and a bathroom. Asli and Gözde were so lovely, welcoming us like family, making a delicious breakfast and helping with everything. Wishing you both all the best, and hope we get to see you again one day 🌻🤗

It was just an old building. I was the one who rented it and turned it into a guest house, and CG was my name. When the business was doing well, the owner wanted the building back. I moved to Istanbul and earned more money. The owners tried to run the business themselves, but now I can see they failed and rented it to someone else.
