The owners were lovely hosts and made us feel really comfortable. The garden is a great place to relax and have their delicious traditional Turkish breakfast, made with fresh local produce. The rooms are simple but tastefully decorated in a charming renovated old house. Highly recommended!

You can walk to everything, and the garden and quiet atmosphere are really nice. The hostel is so clean you can smell it as soon as you walk through the door. Breakfast is quite adequate, with fresh ingredients. When Ayvalık isn't too busy, street parking is possible. Breakfast with Cengiz Bey and the muhannet during the day are delightful :)

We spent two days at Madra House, and Mr. Cengiz made us feel at home. Its charming garden was a lovely spot for breakfast, and the rooms were spotless. The little touches that made the place feel peaceful really stood out. Madra House was the best choice we made on this trip.

The pricing was very strange. We saw the room listed online at 220 TL per night, but when we asked the cost for two nights, they quoted 300 TL per night 😀😀. And being told they couldn't book even one night was odd too. If you're traveling around Turkey's coastal towns and staying in a different city each night, this place may not work for you. I won't call or visit again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with plans like ours.

Cengiz was easy to talk to and always around if we wanted a tip or a good chat. The service was lovely, and we felt very comfortable. It's a wonderful little hotel in central Ayvalik, decorated with lots of attention to detail, and the rooms are clean. Thank you very much!
