Byelka Bungalov

We loved this peaceful, romantic spot among the olive trees. Everything has its own style and looks stunning, and the setting feels cosy. The Turkish breakfast is delicious every day, and you can have your own barbecue. We also loved having free access to a spot on the beach. Thanks for the warm welcome and good service. We hope to return and stay longer.

Byelka is a little haven tucked into an olive grove, and one of the loveliest places I've stayed. The bungalows are cosy, pretty clean, and have all the equipment you need. The beach is about two minutes away, with free entry, and the center is around ten minutes away. Make sure to try their delicious breakfast. We were full but still ate everything. Even on very hot days, the nights were always cool, which made the stay perfect. I'd definitely choose Byelka again when I visit Ayvalik.

Mom and two kids, we had a great time at Byelka. Our original accommodation fell through, but they let us stay here after 10 pm. It feels like a hidden gem among the olive groves. There are just four bungalows, more like tiny houses, set in a beautifully kept garden. The owner and family were very friendly and involved, and everything was clean, tidy, and safe. Despite the quiet setting, the beach, markets, and centers of Sarimsakli and Ayvalik are all a short distance away. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is the shower room, which is tiny, about 40 x 60 cm by my estimate. It may not work for larger Europeans. That's part of the concept, but keep it in mind when booking. There's also a garden hose outside, which is fine in Turkish temperatures.

The garden is beautiful, the bungalow interior is lovely, and the owner was incredibly friendly. We were so taken with the place that our planned one-night stay turned into two, spending the time among lovely cats. Breakfast was amazing, with delicious homemade food that made us feel like guests in their home. We also had a great time around the barbecue and fire pit. One thing felt unpleasant: other guests were asked individually if they wanted Turkish coffee, but nobody offered us any. Instead, they handed us coffee and said, “We're busy, you make it.” Still, we were very happy with our stay and highly recommend it.
