Özak

A quiet retreat away from the high season.

The food was better than I expected, and the staff were attentive. Breakfast felt like something you’d make at home, without any luxury touches, but the ingredients were tasty. This two-star hotel is right by Badavut beach and provides beach service, so it suits a simple, minimalist holiday. Though it’s the oldest hotel around, our room was clean, and I’m fussy about bathrooms and toilets but used them comfortably. I do think the inside could use some updating. There’s plenty of room to make the entrance rooms and outdoor breakfast space feel more like a restaurant. At the same time, the relaxed, almost-at-home atmosphere has its own appeal. I’ll share photos of our room for reference. We recommend it, and thank you.

The sea was so clean, shallow near shore and deeper further out. The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived, and Mr. Başar was especially helpful. Our rooms were spacious and clean, with a peaceful, home-like feel, and the bath water was lovely and warm. We had fun playing board games on the beach and in the garden. Prices were good too. Thanks very much, we’ll definitely come back.

We arrived smiling and left the same way, and my wife and I were very happy with the holiday. Thanks to Özak Hotel and its owners for being friendly, attentive, and focused on solving things, including keeping the price reasonable. I want to thank everyone, from reception and the accountant to Sinan, the chef, manager, tea lady, and cleaning staff. We had been a little worried at first about possible extra charges, but they supported us and even gave additional discounts. In the end, they charged no extra fees at all. A lovely holiday, thank you!
