The scenery is lovely, enough to make up for the room being short on furniture. There was no table, so we put our things on the hang. The owner treated us kindly. I'd recommend the place to anyone after somewhere pleasant to relax for a few days.

Only a five-minute walk from the old town. The host was very friendly, and the spot is quiet, with a lovely view and a garden full of fruit trees.

I paid OTELZ for a two-day booking from May 27-29, but they had actually reserved May 25-27. When I reached Ayvalık on May 27th, the establishment told me my reservation was invalid. The gentleman said they wouldn't have let me in even if I'd arrived for May 25-27, since OTELZ hadn't paid them. My holiday plans were thrown off, and I had to pay higher prices elsewhere. I never stayed here, but after being left disappointed and feeling scammed, with nobody seeming to care, my rating is zero. If you don't work with OTELZ, why let them list you? And if you saw my reservation, why not contact me with other options? Don't book through OTELZ, and call to confirm if you need to.

The location and garden are beautiful, and the owner seemed well-intentioned. But the hotel needs work and investment. The rooms and furnishings are very old, paint was peeling in the small room, and the toilet and shower area was worn and messy. We were given a dirty, uncleaned toilet. When we asked, we were told the room hadn't been cleaned yet. Why let us in if it wasn't ready? I felt embarrassed for the owner, but the garden has had more attention than the hotel. I wish the same care had gone into it. It has no hygiene and is absolutely unsuitable for families or people with small children. We had called and booked 20 days ahead for our holiday, but couldn't stay because of unfortunate circumstances. I think having female cleaning staff would improve the cleanliness and order.
