Levin Hanım Konağı

This was the worst holiday I’ve ever had. We booked Levin Hanım Konağı based on the reviews, but when we reached Küçükköy, the place was nothing like its description. The rooms were extremely dirty, the toilets smelled of sewage and couldn’t be used, and there was no sound insulation, so we could hear everything outside from our room. If anyone still decides to go, I hope you have a better holiday, friends...

I hope the facility takes this feedback seriously and prepares more professionally for the season, so future guests can be more comfortable. Hygiene was a major problem for us. It seemed like nobody had cleaned under the bed, and the stairs were just as bad. I felt disgusted, but we still had to sleep there. There were garden doors from the rooms, but the landscaping was untidy, with a huge mulberry tree bringing lots of flies. The lobby was also full of them, and you have to pass through it to go outside. At first, the southerly wind caused a strong smell in our room. Mr. Adnan attended to it and it improved a bit, but we couldn’t sleep that first night. When I asked for a duvet for my son, there was no one at reception. The duvets they eventually gave us seemed low quality and made him sweat a lot. We moved to another large room for the second night. I still don’t understand the owner’s idea of cleanliness. It wasn’t a good experience.

I stayed overnight during the Teferic festivities and felt comfortable and welcome, almost as if a friend had put me up in an apartment room. The garden was especially lovely, with hawthorn and jasmine in the air and birds chirping. Many thanks to Mr. Adnan and his staff.

The garden and architecture were lovely and suited the village style, and the location in the center of Küçükköy was convenient for Ayvalık and Sarımsaklı. But our stay was uncomfortable. Five of us girlfriends booked together, yet the room had only one double bed plus a mattress that looked like it came from a stretcher. When we asked where two people were meant to sleep, we were told the sofa bed was a double. The room really only suited three people at most, so we couldn’t get comfortable during our three days there.
