We had a lovely, peaceful family holiday in a natural home setting where we felt safe. I’d strongly recommend it to everyone. The hotel owner Sadık bey and Alev hanım charmed us with their warm smiles and hospitality. It was the first time we’d left a hotel feeling so calm and happy. This is now the only place we’ll choose for a holiday.

We first stayed at Masal Evi four years ago and immediately felt at home. This time, without a car, we chose a more central place, but made time for a visit with Sadık Abi and Alev Abla. They were just as warm as we remembered, so we added another day to our holiday and stayed here. Everything was wonderful again. They helped us with everything, even driving us to the bus station. Our family’s short stay at Masal Evi Hotel left us delighted. The place felt peaceful and homelike, and Ms. Alev and Mr. Sadık made us feel welcome with their kindness and genuine hospitality. The rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, and we appreciated the care they put into the details and the lovely conversations. We left with happy memories and good friends. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone wanting a welcoming, relaxing holiday.

I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place. The money I spent didn’t feel well spent, especially after comparing it with a similar hotel a few blocks away where my family and I stayed last year. The owner left me with the impression that they were just waiting for summer to end so they could take a winter holiday. Three months before the trip, I called to reserve a triple room for five days for my family of four. The room shown online had a large balcony. When we arrived, the owner brought out the card machine and charged us for four days before even showing us the room. A welcome and a cold drink would have been nice. The room had one double bed and a pull-out single sofa, which wasn’t suitable for us. I told him, but he kept insisting it was our room, then realized his mistake and said he’d make us comfortable. We waited, but nothing changed. They also didn’t provide sheets for a third person. At night we couldn’t find anyone, so we took some from a cupboard and were scolded for taking them without asking. When we asked for an extra duvet, they replied, “You already took sheets.” The bathroom was in terrible shape. The shower head didn’t work; he tried descaler, then replaced it when that failed. Both shower doors were broken. The toilet paper holder came off when I pulled the paper, and the toilet brush bent when pressed into the bowl. The bedside lights were covered in cobwebs, and the room hadn’t been cleaned. I vacuumed it myself three times. As a business owner, you should check the rooms before guests arrive. We were also told outside food and drinks weren’t allowed at the beach, so we bought them there after being warned. Breakfast wasn’t good either. We never got an omelet, not even once, and you can guess how the rest was. The room I’d seen online was described as a triple, which means it should have beds for three people.
