Bodrum Ecofarm Camp Hostel

Cem was a great host, and everything felt clean and safe. My friend and I had a really relaxed, laidback stay. Thanks so much, I'll definitely come back!

We spent four lovely days in our tent and the shared areas, surrounded by nature and tangerine trees. Cem Bey, the owner, and Mustafa Bey, who looks after the camp, were both very helpful. It's a genuinely unusual place to stay for people on this kind of budget.

I met some lovely, friendly people here, and the owner's delicious dinners made it easy to share a nice evening around the table. The countryside felt like a peaceful retreat, with orange and grapefruit trees all around. It's a great place to take a break from the craziness in the world. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you like natural surroundings.

The girls' dorm terrace became my favourite place to do yoga, read, or just sit and do nothing. The best beach nearby, in my opinion, is in front of Solt Suites Bodrum. It's clean, usually quiet, and has free umbrellas. Getting there takes a 35 minute walk, but it's a lovely route, mostly along a country road and the beach. For sunset, I liked Gumushluk Hill, the one with the flag. On the way up there's also a rocky beach with crystal-clear water for a swim. I volunteered at Ecofarm for 21 days, though it felt like months. Time seems to disappear here, and the slow pace makes it easy to savour each moment. The owner has a warm, kind presence, and the place is surrounded by greenery. It's simple and peaceful. I've seen it full of guests and workawayers, and also quiet, and loved both versions. There are plenty of mosquitoes, and they seem to love me, so bring repellent and a plug-in mosquito repellent for sleeping better. The beach and town are a little far away, but with Bodrum prices, I think this is the best choice.
