Cemre Hotel

The hotel was the dirtiest I've ever seen. The bathroom wasn't usable, there was no hot water, and the tap water was seawater.

A disgusting hotel. Avoid it if you can.

The location is nice, breakfast is above average but not great, and the price is reasonable compared with other hotels. But I can see why. I don't think the hotel or pool is hygienic. The bathroom was a problem: the water would suddenly stop during a shower, then return after two minutes. It would go cold, then heat up again five minutes later. When we reported it, staff told us there was no issue, said it would be fixed, and asked us to leave. It felt like they were calling us liars. The water was mostly salty too. We'd come back from the sea and shower to get the salt off, only to find the tap water salty as well. We had to brush our teeth with bottled water. The sheets and towels were clean. There was air conditioning, a TV with 5-6 channels, and a hairdryer, though anyone with long hair would be better off bringing their own. The beach was described as sandy, but it was actually a mix of sand and pebbles. The pool loungers were fine, while some on the beach were sunken, messy, and dirty. No one cleaned our room or collected our rubbish during our five days there, so we used the same sheets and towels the whole time. We didn't feel we could ask for help because the staff didn't seem to care about us. Other reviews mentioned attentive staff. We saw them being attentive, just not to us, and I wondered if the people they helped were richer or something. There were no activities, entertainment, or parties. For this price I wasn't expecting much, but I certainly didn't expect things to be this bad, and we left before the holiday was over. People had complained about the salty water a year ago, and it was still happening. This business doesn't seem interested in improving.

We were pleased with almost everything, especially the excellent location right on the beach. The view was lovely, the rooms and pool were very clean, and the hallways smelled wonderful. Breakfast was really good with plenty of variety. The restaurant had a wide choice of dishes, though the menu itself was a bit limited, and prices were reasonable. My one complaint was the bed, which was too hard and uncomfortable. I'd recommend the hotel.
