Hotel Villa Marina

The staff were nice, and they had a special room where we could store our bicycles, but several things went wrong. The shower wasn't working when we got to our room. They said there'd been pipe work that day, but hadn't warned us beforehand. We'd come by bike and really needed a shower. They promised it'd work in 30 minutes, but we had to wait a few hours. The wifi was also down when we arrived. They said they'd check, but it didn't come back for four hours. The AC didn't work either. We were too tired to ask again and didn't think they'd fix it. The furniture was also a bit old and outdated.

The staff were fantastic and eager to make repairs and adjust the room for us. My husband is the only one of us who speaks English, and we both really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was fantastic, too. The hotel is just steps from IDO, and the staff were extremely helpful. We'll come back.

It's handy for travel, right by the bus station and ferry port, with comfortable rooms and beds. The staff were attentive and the service was superb. The wifi was a bit slow, and a wedding next door made noise until midnight. Staff did what they could to quiet things down, but couldn't stop it.

We stayed two nights. The room was clean, the cleaning service was good, breakfast was moderate, and the price was reasonable. Still, several things weren't ready despite booking a week ahead: there was no AC remote, the electric kettle didn't work, and a room for two had only one cup and one glass. They later brought a remote and a replacement kettle. Some staff interactions bothered me. When I mentioned the missing cup and glass, they told me I could take them from the breakfast buffet myself. They weren't much help when I asked what to see in Bandirma, either. If you're a student or on a tight budget, this could suit you. For professional service, I'd look elsewhere.
