The Sign Kocaeli Thermal Spa Hotel & Convention Center

The room was spacious and comfortable, but there was no smile from reception when we arrived. We also found men's underwear behind the curtain and a lot of hair in the glasses.

There's no lobby or café-like spot in the open areas where you can sit down for a snack or drink. The children's playroom is large and could be put to good use, but it's empty, dirty, and feels abandoned. The location is good, near the beach, and the rooms are spacious, though I can't say they're very clean. The pools feel cramped and stuffy, with very low ceilings, and they don't seem very clean either. Breakfast is adequate, but the hot options could be improved, including the ones in the "pisi" section.

We enjoyed the thermal baths, and the women's sauna was better than the shared sauna. Still, people didn't follow the swimming cap rule in the women's thermal pool, and the children were quite noisy. Breakfast was very good, the room was clean, and the reception staff were respectful and understanding. I think this is the new version of The Ness hotel, and overall we were satisfied. A few things could be improved: add liquid soap to the rooms, change towels more often in the thermal baths, and make the thermal water warmer. Glass cups would be better than cardboard ones, or half-liter water bottles could be served outside the baths. The masseurs could communicate more professionally with customers, although we were generally happy with the massage. Breakfast staff could also be more professional, clean dirty tables faster, and bring the tea cups closer to the tables. Something should be done about the cigarette smoke smell in the corridors.

Really nice, high-quality hotel, and the atmosphere definitely feels like Kartepe 👍👍
