Olimpiyat Otel Izmir

I stayed at “Olympiyat otel Izmir” in Izmir from 9-16.06 2026. The staff were extremely friendly and did their best to help. My room was cozy and very clean, and the quality for the price was perfect. It’s close to the metro, promenade and Izmir’s main tourist sights. I highly recommend Olympiyat otel Izmir. Diana Vaneva

The room was ready when I arrived around noon to leave my luggage, even though hotel check-in is usually at 2 pm, so they let us check in early. It’s about a five-minute walk from Basmane railway station and 10-15 minutes on foot to the lovely seafront. Plenty of restaurants and eateries are nearby, and the staff speak English. Clean and good value. Breakfast could be better, but for what you pay, I can’t complain. If you don’t want to spend much, it’s worth every penny.

Avoid this place at any cost. Get a sleeping bag and sleep in a park or somewhere, or use Couchsurfing, just don’t stay here. The rooms are very old and unclean, and most probably have some sort of bedbugs and insects.

For an older woman traveling alone, I felt safe walking around at night, and the friendly staff even carried my suitcases since there’s no lift. The only difficulty was the cobblestones with my wheeled luggage, though it wasn’t a long stretch. The location is great for the airport metro and intercity bus shuttle. There are cheap Turkish restaurants nearby, the WiFi works well, and breakfast has a big selection with unlimited tea. I ate at 8 and wasn’t hungry for lunch until 3. I was very satisfied with what I got for the price and will definitely stay again.
