Piano Hotel

The staff were lovely and clearly cared about the business, and speaking English was easy. The rooms looked worse than the photos, though, and the minibar wasn't cold. The main issue was the building's limits on the A/C, which made the owners seem cheap. It was 40 degrees Celsius and we were burning up in a hotel we'd paid for.

The front desk can arrange a tour of Ephesus, which I highly recommend. My room was comfortable and modern, especially the walk-in shower, and the Turkish breakfast was amazing. The staff were kind, very helpful, and full of useful information. The location was hard to beat. Just bear in mind that the cheapest single rooms are on the top floor or floors, with four floors above ground level and no elevator.

The corner suite we stayed in was spacious and had a balcony, and the place has a nostalgic, romantic character. It isn't the Hilton Inn and Suites, but that charm is part of it. We were there for three nights in October, and the owners and their team are the reason I gave it five stars. The couple are kind, speak several languages, and are always working hard for their guests. The breakfast buffet was clean and very nice, and the bar downstairs is a good spot for a drink. I plan to come back.

Everyone was kind, and breakfast was a delight. Piano is fine if you just need somewhere to sleep. I would've cleaned more under the beds, though, even if that isn't always essential.
