Hacegan Hostel

I want to be clear that this is my completely objective opinion. If you’re away from your family and want a dorm with a family-like atmosphere, this is one of the best I’d recommend. The food is hygienic, the internet is there, the dining hall is clean and spacious, and the environment is safe. I think a family could confidently entrust their student here. I saw a few negative comments, especially about internet access. Wi-Fi problems happen at home too, and turning them into an excuse to discredit the place goes far beyond criticism. Everyone can share an opinion, positive or negative, but slander and mudslinging are different. Some people, in my view, may prefer disorganized places over cleanliness, safety, and discipline, which could explain those comments. Before ruling out Hacegan Dormitory because of negative reviews, I strongly suggest calling the owners. You’ll see how trustworthy, warm, and caring they are toward students. Best regards 🫶🏻

My roommates and I were incredibly happy after I changed dorms in my second year. The women there were the best, but the management was really bad. I started out here when I first came to Bayburt, and I still remember going down to breakfast with my friends. There was only cheese and olives, so we looked at each other and went back upstairs to eat out. We weren’t even late for breakfast. I spent more than half my money eating out that first year.

If you’ve been accepted to Bayburt but didn’t get a KYK dorm room, I wouldn’t put this place among your options. The rooms are very small, the food service is inadequate, and I really didn’t like the management. That’s just my opinion, so it’s your choice, but I wanted to warn you. Welcome to our beautiful Bayburt!

I lived in this dorm until graduation and never had a problem. It feels warm and welcoming, almost like a family home. I can’t agree with the negative comments, and I recommend checking the place out.
