AKKA Hotels Antedon

There wasn't a lot to do, and the beach is ruined. The rooms are two floors and have a great design, but ours had a dent in the upper floor. There was also a hole in the first-floor bathroom ceiling, and water was leaking. The pool wasn't very big. The fitness center had some equipment, including three or four treadmills, which were good, but I think one leg workout machine was broken. Some reviews said there weren't many food choices, but there actually were.

The rooms and grounds were part of a stay at Akka Antedon that became frightening and stressful instead of the relaxing family holiday we expected. We were there from October 26 to November 6, 2025. The grounds are beautiful and the location is excellent, but almost everyone in my family became ill with a bacterial infection. We never left the hotel and ate only at its restaurants. One person developed symptoms on day three, and another became seriously ill two days later and needed hospital treatment with an IV. Doctors said it was a bacterial infection, most likely from the food or pool water. The food was extremely poor for a hotel at this price. Many dishes tasted unpleasant or spoiled. We've visited Turkey many times in late October and early November and stayed at hotels in a similar price range and category, and those experiences were always excellent. Compared with them, Akka Antedon was a complete disaster, especially in food quality and the overall experience. The hotel offered no compensation, even though several family members got sick while eating and staying exclusively on the property. Based on this stay, I can't recommend Akka Antedon to anyone.

Although the food was good, with acceptable variety, and the other services were nice, I wouldn't repeat this stay. I spent three days there and didn't enjoy a moment of it. The bed was among the worst I've slept on, the bedroom had several problems, and the air conditioning wouldn't get cold. Staff in most departments were very nice, smiling, and respectful, but reception was the exception. I want to thank Ms. Farida for handling the hotel problems so well. Another issue was that no one answered when I tried to contact them. It was one of my worst hotel experiences.

I've stayed here four times, and it hasn't disappointed me. It's a great family hotel, with a fabulous yard, pleasant spots to relax, and bars serving ice cream and coffee. The staff are polite and helpful without being pushy. The a la carte restaurants are great, and the spa centre has experienced staff. Highly recommend!
