I spent seven days here, and sadly the stay was disappointing. The bathtub had visible mold, and the rooms didn’t seem very clean. Housekeeping also seemed inconsistent, since some guests said their rooms hadn’t been cleaned at all. Meals were repetitive, with pasta every day and only small servings of meat. The bar had few drink choices, and you couldn’t really have as much as you wanted.

The beach was small, dirty, rocky, and short on sunbeds, so it wasn’t relaxing. The staff came across as rude and unprofessional. Most didn’t speak English, and when we asked for help, they either ignored us or answered with an attitude. Our room was dusty, the sheets stained, and there was mold in the bathroom. No one cleaned it properly during our stay. The food was poor quality, repetitive, and often cold. Some dishes had a strange smell, as if they’d been left out too long.

Some guests, myself included, had bookings changed without warning. We were either moved to another hotel or downgraded to a lower room category, with no explanation or apology. The Wi-Fi also costs extra each day, which I find unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be four-star. The rooms were unclean, towels weren’t changed regularly, and there was a bad smell from the first day. Staff were unhelpful, ignored complaints, and sometimes rude. Most seemed unfriendly and irritated, and some acted aggressively or with bias, leaving us very uncomfortable. The food was the same each day, poor quality, and had little variety or suitable options for kids or people with dietary needs. My experience at Rios Latte Beach Hotel was extremely disappointing. The reality was very different from the pictures, and it came nowhere near a real four-star standard. I wouldn’t recommend it at all; it barely deserves two stars.

I only stayed because my tour activities were prepaid. In three nights, this became the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. The reception was filthy, dark, hot, and smelled bad. Rooms were unhygienic, with stained bedding, dirty toilets, no basic amenities, and hot water often unavailable. The food was repetitive and tasted unhygienic, the bar was rarely open, and the staff were rude. For your health and peace of mind, choose another hotel.

The hotel staff spoke Russian but not English, and their general manner toward customers was arrogant. At the food service, staff and the administrator’s desk seemed to decide who could eat and how much. They put food on your plate themselves, and might make a pointed remark about your height or how much you could eat. Around seven boys ran and shouted through the dining hall while people were eating, cleaning and moving around as if customers weren’t there. The room cleaning was incomplete. I asked repeatedly at the administrator’s desk, using gestures to show what needed doing because they didn’t understand English. I also asked cleaners directly, but no one responded. That meant sleeping in the same sheets for several nights, using black towels, and putting up with a sandy floor. The bathroom toilet didn’t work, and the drain was slow, so even small messes wouldn’t wash away. The hotel bar was just a dirty corner. They served warm wine in shot glasses and beer in tiny glasses, and whether you could get these drinks seemed to depend on who you were. Asking for more wasn’t worthwhile. Nearby shops and services were all very expensive, well above the European average.
