My room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and heating was available. Olos? at reception spoke some English, as did the director, and arranged a taxi trip for me to Nemrut volcano for 2000 tl. There seemed to be plenty of traffic on weekends, so hitching there might be possible. I also got a reduced price on Obilet despite not being Turkish. They could add yoghurt to breakfast.

The staff were polite and helpful without being pushy, and the air conditioning worked very well. The rooms were clean too. For the price, the place really surprised me. I’d stay again if I wanted somewhere simple, affordable, and reliable.

Even when some Steins and Bergs tried to enter the hotel, it remained clean and safe for all of us. The hospitality was much appreciated. This was the best experience of my life, and one of my best hotel stays ever. Thank you.

I was refused check-in after booking and arriving, solely because of my nationality. That discrimination is completely unacceptable. The hotel also kept the money I’d already paid instead of refunding it. I had a very disappointing experience and strongly advise others to avoid this place. No one should be treated this way.

The price was very reasonable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They quickly arranged a taxi and driver to take us to Nemrut mountain and its lakes, which were beautiful. The hotel is right in the center of lovely Tatvan, about a 10-minute walk from Van lake. Breakfast was a little disappointing, with limited choices and food that didn’t seem very fresh. Still, I’d stay here again.
