Belcan Hotel

We were very happy with our stay, and my friend and I would definitely like to come back. The hotel is close to a nice park and the beach, just across a quiet local road. There are plenty of shops and affordable restaurants nearby with good food. We stayed in a renovated room on the third floor, in very good condition, with a balcony looking out toward the mountains and orange garden. The host was polite and caring. Meals aren’t included, but coffee, tea, and cold water are always available. You can buy breakfast, lunch, and dinner from the owner and eat at the all-inclusive Belpoint hotel next door. The hospitality comes at an economical price, and you can choose whether to buy meals.

I stayed 13 nights with my mom. We arrived very early, although check-in was meant to be at 2 p.m. Mr. Ergun offered to put us in another room straight away at no extra cost, then move us to ours after three days. We declined because we didn’t want to unpack and repack, and chose to wait. Later he got us into our room a few hours before 2 p.m. without charging extra. Everything in the room worked, including the AC, TV, mini-bar fridge, plugs, shower, and balcony with chairs and a table. It had paper and plastic cups, shower gel, shampoo, towels, and blankets too. We weren’t on a meal plan, which worked well for us. We brought some food, bought some from shops, and went to nearby restaurants. At reception there’s a large guest fridge, a cooler with free water, a coffee machine and tea, and sometimes complimentary fruit. The beach is just across the road and a small park, with free entry and sunbeds available for a fee. It’s a long beach, with both hotel sections and public areas, so it’s worth walking along it to find a spot you like. Shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, and barber shops are nearby. There’s a bus stop and taxi stand across the street for Antalya, Goynuk, or Kemer. The only drawback was loud music from a nearby hotel, but it stopped around 10 or 11 p.m., leaving plenty of time to sleep. My mom’s flight was moved forward by 24 hours, so I needed a longer room stay. Mr. Ergun offered five hours free, then a reasonable price for the extra time I needed. He also arranged an airport transfer for less than a nearby taxi would have cost. He helped with our other requests too. Thank you for your hospitality, from Alex & Larysa.

The upper floor has been recently renovated and looks modern and clean. Each morning we had breakfast in the lovely courtyard, with fruit, bread, and eggs from the local market. The employees were kind and always nice to chat with. We had a really nice stay, came away feeling well rested, and will remember our good time here. We’d love to come back.

The owner is an interesting person, helpful and easy to have a good conversation with. Breakfast is delicious, especially compared with other small hotels, and the little garden is a nice spot to enjoy free tea and coffee from the machine, available around the clock. Sometimes they have fruit too. WiFi works fine. The hotel is only about 60-70 meters from the public park and beach, and the hospitality is great for the price. One thing to consider: a sunny-side room is better in winter, while the north side suits hot summer weather. I’d suggest adding traditional simit to breakfast, maybe half per person.
