Alexius Beach Hotel

The staff were rude and unhelpful. When I asked for honey, a waiter told me I should have brought it myself; when I asked for yogurt, they said it was too late to order more. Tables were barely cleared, and there was a bad smell everywhere. Breakfast had no fruit, butter, yogurt, honey, or lemons. Lunch and dinner were cold apart from the soup, and the machine coffee was undrinkable. The food could be better. The room was missing basics too: no blankets, chair, drinks, working fridge, safe, phone, curtain, or slippers, and the bathroom was dirty. This is nowhere near four-star standard. Worst hotel stay I've ever had.

The food was repetitive, though it was okay and we didn't go hungry. The beach is only a few minutes away, but it's chaotic, with too few sunbeds scattered around and no staff keeping things in order. Inside, cleanliness and upkeep were poor. Ground-floor bathrooms looked like prison cells, toilet paper wasn't provided, and the rooms weren't properly maintained. On our first night there were no towels or sheets, so we used beach towels to cover ourselves. Upper-floor rooms were a little better, but still not clean. Our room was cleaned just once in ten days; they claimed there wasn't another key, which wasn't true. Cats wander around freely, including on guest couches and sometimes in the toilets, which was unpleasant. Mustafa was the only person who really tried to help, though even his attitude changed when travel agency representatives showed up. Reception and the other staff mostly ignored problems. From outside the hotel looks lovely, but the stay was far from it. Better to spend fewer days somewhere better maintained than waste your time and nerves here.

Breakfast had lots of choices and was delicious, and the whole place felt relaxing, with thoughtful touches throughout. Our room was clean and comfortable, the location worked perfectly, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. Highly recommended if you're after an easy, pleasant holiday.

The calm, welcoming atmosphere was what we liked most. We came for a weekend and were impressed by how cozy, modern, and comfortable everything felt. The rooms were spotless and the staff polite. Breakfast was tasty and had a homemade feel. Alexius Beach lives up to its high ratings. It's a short walk to the beach, with plenty of cafes and shops nearby. A great choice if you care about quality.
