Belpoint Beach Hotel

The bathroom was awful. Water pressure swung without warning from a soft mist to a fire hose, and the shower temperature went between freezing and scalding. The towel felt like sandpaper. I could hear every conversation and footstep through the paper-thin walls, along with all the questionable decisions in neighboring rooms. The room was filthy and falling apart. I don’t think the sheets had been changed, and there was a stain on the carpet I decided not to inspect. The AC rattled like a dying lawnmower all night and didn’t cool the room. The lobby smelled of damp carpet and regret, and the front desk staff treated my arrival like an inconvenience. Staying here felt like an endurance test. I wouldn’t return, though that implies I’d ever consider it. It was an absolute misery from the moment I walked in. The hotel itself seemed tired of existing.

We left after the first night and booked another hotel. The place is under renovation, with exposed wiring, no hot water, no hallway lights, and only one working juice dispenser. There was nobody else staying there, which added to the unsettling feeling. We felt unsafe and in danger. The first night there were no bed covers, and the AC wouldn’t heat, so we were freezing. The curtains were used as covers. Breakfast was just salted boiled eggs and oranges from outside, with flies around the cucumber. This isn’t all-inclusive, it’s all-exclusive. We had to go out for edible food and got scammed for 46 Pounds at a nearby shop. The pool had vape pods and lots of bugs. There was no lifeguard, and the slides weren’t operating. When we went back to our room, the floor at the entrance had been painted, so we couldn’t get in for two hours and still got wet paint on our shoes. This may sound like an overreaction, and we thought the same on the way there, but it wasn’t. It’s no holiday, just a nightmare. Don’t waste your money or stay here. If you’ve already booked or are on your way, try anything to get a refund and get out. I’ve attached images and videos if you don’t believe me.

I’m disabled and emailed ahead, but they put me in a fourth-floor apartment and wouldn’t move me. There’s no AC. The plugs all have broken plugs left in them and look like they’ve been on fire. The food has left my stomach in bits for days, and it’s been awful. Staff have been useless, and my whole holiday has been ruined. It was advertised as a four-star hotel and I’ve been thoroughly let down. I brought money expecting all-inclusive, but they only sell one type of beer and red and white wine. No spirits or cocktails. Drinks after 10 cost extra too. The cups are absolutely tiny, so you’d need about 50 trips to the bar for the three drink options they have, even though there are bottles behind the bar that guests aren’t allowed to have. They advertised the slide as operating, but I’ve only seen it on twice. One of those times, customers turned it on themselves because they were fed up. I expect a full refund. We’ve had to spend so much money outside the resort because they pretended it was all-inclusive.

The rooms and service made this one of the worst stays I’ve had. Cleaning was barely done: the floors stayed dirty, towels weren’t changed, and even basic requests weren’t handled properly. Everything felt slow and disorganized, like asking for help was a waste of time. At reception, people were rude and acted as if our presence was a nuisance. Ibrahim was especially aggressive, speaking to guests as though they were nothing, and made the whole place uncomfortable. I’d never experienced that in a hotel before. I wouldn’t return or recommend it. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
