Rixos Park Belek - The Land of Legends Access

I enjoyed my stay, but the evening music was disappointing. The DJ played what seemed like the same small collection of around twenty Russian songs again and again, with almost no variety in genres or international music. There didn't seem to be much effort to make the atmosphere lively or diverse. Since the hotel welcomes people from many countries, a broader mix of music would make the evenings better for everyone. I hope management refreshes the DJ program, because a more varied playlist could make the atmosphere much more enjoyable.

The room we were eventually given was standard, even though we had paid for a suite. We asked about another suite or an upgrade, but were told there was nothing available. At first, reception asked us to wait 30 minutes because of a technical issue. That became another hour, and we ended up waiting nearly two hours after arriving. We lost the whole day to the delay and were very unhappy with the service and organization at Rixos Park Belek in Antalya. I’ve stayed at Rixos in Egypt and was genuinely impressed, so this was a huge letdown. I wouldn’t recommend Rixos in Antalya again. One star.

We only had two days for a weekend break, and lost the first hour wandering around looking at restaurants because our room wasn’t ready at check-in. When we finally got the keys at 3:00 PM, the room still didn’t seem properly cleaned or prepared. It felt “clean-dirty,” with no real effort at sanitizing it. That’s not acceptable for hygiene or service. We were extremely dissatisfied and would tell people to look elsewhere. Don’t waste your time or money here.

The food, desserts and cocktails were still delicious, the live music was great, and I liked the shady pool area, the main pool’s location near the sea, the beach and the volleyball court. Staff were friendly and quick to help when problems came up. Those were the good parts of our return visit this year. But the hotel felt much more crowded than last year, and it affected nearly everything. It was hard to find sunbeds, which led to unpleasant moments between guests. The waiters worked hard, but there weren’t enough of them. We sometimes waited 10-15 minutes for a baby high chair, and wine or tea glasses were also hard to get. I often served myself, since my baby could finish eating before a waiter arrived. Dinner queues were long, rooms weren’t cleaned daily, and the minibar was refilled only if we asked. The atmosphere was also affected by guests cutting queues, saving sunbeds with towels despite the rules, smoking in non-smoking areas and jumping ahead in the lift. We travelled with our 2-year-old, but there wasn’t much for that age. Rixi Club had some activities, though its play area is small and can quickly bore a toddler. We also had money go missing from our room: 150 euros and 100 dollars. It wasn’t in the safe, but in a bag, and I’m confident it was taken from the room. I’ve heard this may not be the first such case at the hotel. The rooms are only in moderate shape and need renovation; for the price, I expected better. The area around the main pool also looks worn and needs maintenance. We came back with high expectations after last year, but between the theft, crowds and upkeep, the holiday was much less enjoyable. The food and entertainment remain good, but I wouldn’t return. There may be better options for the same price.
