Tunel Residence

The only real plus is the location. My stay was awful: the bed was broken, and the manager was rude and unhelpful. There was a strong paint smell in the aisles from ongoing work, which made the place unbearable. Clearly one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Save your money.

The pictures give some idea of the property’s condition, and the customer service was very bad and slow. The location was okay, but the noise was awful and I barely slept. The shower drained very slowly and nobody fixed it. There was no soap for dishes or laundry. The heating and air conditioning are central, and the hotel decides when to turn them on and what temperature to set. We were so hot in April, but they said they couldn’t switch it on until summer. All istanbul was really rude and ill-mannered, so you should expect that from this hotel too.

The receptionist behaved very unprofessionally. When we politely asked why they couldn’t provide the late checkout we had already bought, he started yelling and screaming. We asked to speak with his manager about it, and instead of discussing the issue, he threatened to call the police. There’s no respect for customers here. Avoid staying at this hotel.

The location is very convenient, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spacious and have the basics, including a small kitchenette with a stove and fridge. Having a washing machine was great on a trip when it was so needed. Breakfast wasn’t bad, but the choices were very limited. I don’t think this is a five-star hotel. One AC wasn’t working, the iron didn’t work either, and the kettle dripped water so we couldn’t use it.
