Poyraz Apart Motel

The room was in awful shape. There were wasps inside, and we couldn’t sleep all night. I took 7-8 photos. There was dog poop all over the area in front of the balcony. Feeding the dogs is lovely, but nobody cleans up after them. The wardrobe was broken, so we couldn’t put anything in it and had to leave our suitcase there. The mirrors and stoves were moldy, and I couldn’t see my face in the mirror all night. Worst of all, when we arrived, we were told the lock was broken and we’d have to sleep there without it. Imagine going out of town and being given a room with a door that doesn’t lock. Would you stay there? That’s up to you. We’d arranged a two-night stay for August 9-10 with the owner, Mr. Ali, for 700 TL in total (350 TL for two nights). When we saw the room, we told his assistant we didn’t want to stay for two nights, but would stay one if they agreed. He said, "Talk to my boss, I’m just an employee, I have to take 700 TL, I’ll be in a difficult situation." I said we’d get the second day’s payment back, and he agreed. We called around lunchtime, but the assistant answered again. In the evening, we went to the shop to explain, but were told Mr. Ali wasn’t there. We couldn’t reach him at all. On the second day, when I went to collect the money, he started saying, "I can’t pay you, if I pay, I’ll give you 500, you keep the rest, if that’s the case, you shouldn’t have rented it." We wouldn’t have rented it anyway, Mr. Ali, you didn’t even show up.

We thought the price wasn’t justified, since there are much better apartments to choose from. The rooms were very dirty, and wasps kept coming in through the broken windows. There was dog poop in front of our door that hadn’t been cleaned up. The wardrobes wouldn’t open, the front door lock was broken, and the mirrors were so dirty you couldn’t see anything. We’ll never choose this apartment again.

Just bring your suitcase and settle in. The apartments have a kitchen with cookware, a fridge, TV, and air conditioning, so it feels like being at home on holiday. It’s very close to the beach, comfortable even with children, and clean and well organized.

The location is nice, tucked behind the businesses and very close to the beaches along Bitez coast. But the air conditioning in our room didn’t work, so the heat kept us awake. Then, early in the morning, we were woken by the sound of wood being unloaded at the back doors of the businesses. It was only one night, so we managed.
