Communication was occasionally difficult, and it would be nice if more staff spoke English. I'd also have preferred fewer desserts made better: the Turkish sweets were delicious, but a lot of the mousse-style ones could have been replaced with something more authentic or refined. The one thing I missed was fresh juice, though I imagine it's hard to provide for so many guests. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to friends. The food had plenty of variety, with healthy and tasty choices. I especially loved the grilled fish and meat, particularly the lamb. There was oatmeal with milk for the kids, several kinds of soup, and such good Turkish tea that I didn't drink coffee the whole time. The beach was nearby and easy to reach. I enjoyed swimming and snorkeling and seeing all the different fish. The spa was wonderful, especially with my daughter. Room service was excellent, and the cleaning was always quick and thorough. Staff worked hard to keep everything clean and maintained. The baby club was fantastic, and my kids had a great time there. My overall experience was 9/10.

The only downside is that the rooms are very dated and need refreshing. We're still here now, and I hope this review helps people decide to come. We've been staying for 12 days and have had great service and food. Every member of staff has been friendly. Norda's animation was brilliant, and Erjan, the guest relations manager, helped us a lot. He's very friendly and professional. Hande also came by every morning with a smile.

The gardens and buildings have a Caribbean feel, and the hotel is well suited to a quiet, relaxing holiday. It's near Bodrum and has good connections to the city centre. The food is delicious, and the staff are polite, friendly, and helpful. It's not a luxury hotel costing £1,000 a night, so there are a few negatives, but they're minor enough that most people probably won't notice. My family and I recommend it!

We were three adults and one child at Selectum Collection Bodrum, and the whole stay exceeded our expectations. The setting is beautiful, with lots of lush green trees and grounds that clearly get careful attention. The rooms were spotless and well kept, and the facilities and resort overall were clean and maintained. The hotel is right on the beach. The shore is a little rocky at first, but beyond that the seabed becomes soft sand, making it lovely for swimming. It felt family-friendly but still elegant, and staff made us feel welcome throughout. A great choice for families or anyone after a relaxing break in a beautiful green setting. We'd definitely return.

We enjoyed the spa's free hammam and sauna, but the steam room was out of order. There were paid spa services too. Activities included water aerobics, yoga, darts, a kids' club, beach volleyball, tennis, basketball, and an okay gym. Evening entertainment was a band or singer from 9 to 10:30, and although they were good, it was very loud from our room. The grounds are well kept, with a nice main pool. We spent most of our time at the relaxing quiet pool. The nearby lunch spot was really nice and the food tasty. The beach bar was good too, and the main bartender, whose name I can't remember, made us some lovely cocktails. Poolside wraps were tasty and worth trying. The coffee and patisserie shop was mixed: the rolls with cheese, tomato, and lettuce were hard, and lattes or cappuccinos were sometimes not hot enough, though the coffee was generally nice. At the main restaurant you could always find something to eat, but overall the food was just okay. I found the fruit selection poor, the fruit juice watered down on some days, and some mains oddly flavored. The lamb looked appetizing but tasted very strong, like old mutton. You won't go hungry or thirsty. We stayed at Selectum Collection Bodrum for ten nights in October 25. In many ways it's a good hotel, though it didn't quite match other Turkish hotels we've stayed at. Staff were friendly and helpful even when their English was limited. The rooms were a decent size with what you'd expect, and WiFi was good. There was a dryer, safe, kettle with tea and coffee, and a free minibar. Some furniture could use replacing, but it wasn't a major issue. The queen beds had very firm mattresses, too firm for me. Only three English TV channels worked. More choice, even as a paid option, would be nice. We paid for a sea view, but because of the block layout the view was minimal. The balcony was pleasant but small, and its single-glazed door let in too much entertainment noise. The bathroom must have been high-end when new, but now it's tired and the redecoration was poorly done. Our sink leaked. Maintenance came and reduced the leak but didn't fix it, so we put a hand towel underneath and changed it each day. That was disappointing from the start. The water pressure was good and the water really hot. A long shower could also leak through a gap and need mopping up. Another guest told me the hotel was taken over in January 2025 and rooms were being refurbished block by block. I can't verify that, but it would make sense, though the easy-to-fix issues still need attention. The sea was warm and generally shallow, with plenty of fish to see and feed. The beach was mostly sandy with some stones. There isn't much near the hotel apart from a small shop, but buses to and from Bodrum run regularly. The hotel cats and dogs were generally friendly and looked after. I hope the hotel starts neutering the cats, for their future welfare, before their numbers get out of hand. It's a nice hotel and I'd stay again, so thumbs up.
