Albatros Otel

We really enjoyed Albatros Hotel and would return. It has a lovely spot right on the seafront, with cozy green rooms set apart from the usual hotel style. Upstairs, there’s a wide, beautifully designed and decorated green lounge. The family owners run the place in a way that makes it feel like home. I recommend it.

The room was tiny, the bed uncomfortable, and there was no hot water. WiFi didn’t work either. Even after bargaining the price down from 3500 lira to 2000 lira, it was far too expensive.

I hate this place. It’s 12:30 at night and the bar or disco has been blasting the same song for more than an hour and a half. There’s no sheet on the bed, none in the closet, and nobody at reception. I asked to move rooms when I arrived, but was told there weren’t any available. There seem to be very few guests here. I paid 200 tl and got no sleep, and the towels feel like sandpaper. I can’t understand how this place got into Lonely Planet. I’ll write to them.

The staff are really friendly, but the rooms are tiny and could be cleaner. There’s also a very loud party atmosphere.
