Hanbaba Hotel

We stopped here with friends to see Bodrum before continuing our trip. The rooms were comfortable, and the staff and service were really nice and helpful. I recommend this hotel.

We barely made it through the night and left as soon as morning came. There was nobody around, just someone asleep on a lobby couch, so we left the key and went. At one point I even thought about sleeping in the car. It felt like a waste of money, and I doubt the place even has a tourism certificate. The room was filthy and seemed unsafe. The sheets were stained, the pillows were so bad I can't imagine sleeping on them, and cigarette ash and butts were by the bed and along the walls. It hadn't been cleaned. The door was dirty too, with a 3-4 cm gap underneath. A frog got in when I tried to enter, and it took me 15 minutes to get it out. I had to wedge a towel under the door, since insects could easily come through as well. The toilet was broken, there wasn't any toilet paper, and the toilet door looked like a barn door. There were no wall outlets, the wires were exposed, and the few outlets that worked looked ready to fall out. The TV didn't work either. The pool was awful, nothing like the pictures, and there was no fire safety in the room. Even one star feels too generous. Calling this a hotel is a stretch; it's like a barn where you couldn't even tie up an animal.

The friendly, attentive, professional staff made our holiday more enjoyable, and the hotel itself felt peaceful and high quality. The location and services were wonderful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, so we felt right at home. I'd definitely recommend it for a memorable, relaxing stay in Bodrum. We hope to return soon.

I've stayed at many hotels, but none treated us as kindly as this one. Onur welcomed us before we landed and arranged a taxi, which made me feel safe right away. He was very kind, always welcoming, and full of helpful tips. The service from him and the staff felt like being with family, and I felt really safe at Gumbet Otel. Everything was 10/10, with nothing to complain about. It was the best trip in the world for me, and I'll definitely come back.
