I believe I was scammed by Le Luna Hostel. I booked a room for two people and received a confirmation email as proof, but when I arrived, there was only a single bed for one person. I decided not to stay at all, not even for one night. Even so, they charged me over 6000 Turkish lira, despite already having taken a deposit. I never stayed there.

The location made it easy to get around Bodrum, and the beds were comfortable. The private rooms are clean and nice, though very small, and two rooms share a bathroom instead of having an ensuite. Socially, I’d give it 5/10: it’s not the most social place, but you can still meet other backpackers. If you want more space and privacy, a hotel may cost about the same.

Sabahat and Anil made me feel welcome straight away. They’re warm and friendly, and even shared some great home-cooked food with me. The rooftop bar is a lovely place to relax, and I met some great people there. The hostel has a family-home feel, but it’s also a fun place to party. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. One of my best hostel stays. Ten stars, thank you!

I never actually slept there, since we stayed out all night and got back around checkout, but the beds felt comfy when I tried them. The rooms are really big, and the owner even let me use her yoga equipment. She’s an absolute sweetheart, and I also met her son, who took my friends and me out at night. There’s a lovely rooftop balcony with a bar, and the location is amazing. One of the nicest hostels I’ve visited. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else to someone staying in Bodrum :)
