We could walk to lots of nice restaurants, and getting to the center took a 10-minute drive or a 30-minute walk. The staff and breakfast were great. Our room had a kitchen with everything we needed to cook, plus a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. There’s also a rooftop where you can eat or lounge with a sea view. The pool was relaxing, and the flowers around the hotel made it a beautiful place to stay. It was quiet too.

The rooms and the views outside, including the pool, were absolutely amazing. But the mould in the bathroom was so bad that I couldn't bring myself to shower. Such a shame, because that kept me from giving the place a higher rating.

I really liked the place, but the way I was treated was bad. The owner refused to rent me the apartment for six months, for some reason, even though I’m a cultured and tidy person. I wanted to arrange it through the agency, but was told foreigners aren’t allowed there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We were thinking of booking a suite for 10 nights and called to check whether it had a balcony. The conversation was the worst ever, and that alone put us off. Glad we called, since Bodrum has plenty of good options.

It’s a homely, Instagram-worthy place, and the chef is very experienced. The main difficulty was the language barrier. Most people in the country hardly understand English, so we needed Google Translate and similar tools.
