Right by the central Bodrum Marina, this hotel is close to the sea, markets, restaurants and cafes, so everything we wanted was nearby. It feels safe and has a chic, bohemian style that made the stay feel unusual and special. It's run by a Turkish family who were genuinely kind and polite, and ready to help with service and advice. Everything about the place felt beautiful.

I’m sharing this because I want other guests to know about the worst experience I've had while travelling. At around 3:00 AM on July 7, a man got into my private room while I was asleep and climbed into my bed, leaning toward me. I screamed so loudly that people thought I was being murdered. He ran upstairs afterward. The next morning I spoke with the hotel owner. She kept saying he was a regular guest and a “good guy,” and seemed more concerned with the business's reputation than with my safety. She appeared not to understand, or wouldn't acknowledge, that he had been on my bed and leaning over me. She thought I screamed just because he entered the room, rather than because of what he did once inside. She told me not to call the police or post a review. She even asked me to speak to him myself, which I refused. She spoke to him alone and came back with an explanation that he'd mixed medication and alcohol and become confused. I don't believe that story. Her reluctance to encourage me to contact police right away was a huge red flag. I felt pressured, cornered and emotionally manipulated while trying to decide what to do, as she kept insisting he was a good person. I can't understand how a woman could defend someone who entered another woman's room and got into her bed in the middle of the night. Eventually she called the local police, or at least it seemed that way. I briefly spoke to an English-speaking officer who said I needed to go to the station to give a statement, but when I looked for the station, I couldn't find it nearby. During the phone call, her son ran upstairs and said the man had stolen a key from the housekeeping staff. His mother pinched his arm, told him to be quiet and took him downstairs. When I finally decided to leave Bodrum, the staff involved seemed visibly relieved. The owner even insisted on driving me to the airport herself. I'm deeply traumatized, can't sleep, and have been physically and emotionally affected. My biggest concern is how easily a stranger got into my locked room, and the owner's resistance to transparency and the legal process afterward. I strongly advise future guests, especially women and solo travellers, to avoid this property for their own safety. No stay should turn into a nightmare like this.

I'm still here writing this because I can't wait until the end of my stay to say how unbearable it is. I booked a week, but I can't cope. Resting here feels impossible. It's so noisy at night and in the morning. There's a live band every day, including weekdays, playing extremely loudly until 1-2 a.m. The walls are paper-thin, so you hear everything, even neighbours sneezing. Then early in the morning the cleaners slam doors and make so much noise that you can't sleep. A small dog barks constantly, and in this tiny hotel the sound carries everywhere. Some of the doors and walls are made of thin materials that do nothing to block it.

The family-run feel made me feel at home. I met the mother and her polite son, whose fluent English and lovely accent made communication easy. It's a cosy, clean boutique hotel with a great marina and castle view, and a vibe I'll remember. I came because it's just across the road from Bodrom Marina, with lots of local and international restaurants and cafés all around. If you want quiet at night, though, avoid the weekend. It gets very loud. That was fine for me, and we enjoyed the hotel's restaurant live band before bed. There isn't an elevator, but the stairs are short. And if you're travelling with kids, note that it's an adult-only boutique hotel.

The owners are lovely, and the rooms are nice and pleasant. We had a great stay in a really good location. Just keep in mind that you can hear noise from the bar downstairs.
