Tosunoglu Apart Hotel

We had a great time as a family, and for how good the experience was, it was cheap. I loved this holiday, one of the best I’ve had. The pool is great, though a little deep for small children. I think the shallow end is about 5 feet and the deepest part about 8 feet. The rooms were a bit dirty, and at one point ants crossed the balcony, but I shut the door and they were gone in ten minutes. There was a net on my room window, so I could open it without bugs or spiders getting in. There’s a local corner shop with water jugs, and a bit about a 10 minute walk from the hotel with cheaper prices and more variety. I’d definitely recommend it.

We’ve been here twice now, and already knew what to expect before our first visit. The rooms are basic but fine for us, with enough equipment to put together simple meals. They’re cleaned several times during the week. The showers are unpredictable, switching between scalding and cold water, with maybe a few seconds of a comfortable temperature if you’re lucky. Rambo at the bar makes decent meals. I’d suggest paying what you owe him on the day instead of running up a tab, as the Lira to GBP difference may give you a shock. I like the place overall. There are decent restaurants in Gumbet about a 10 minute walk away, Myndos gate is also 10 minutes away, and Bodrum harbour is a 30 minute walk. Some holidaymakers come back every year.

The food was lovely, and the hotel was very clean and well looked after. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are a good size and basic, and the showers are a bit of an adventure, but that adds to the charm. Rambo and Sebastian (possibly spelt wrong) gave great service at the pool bar. There’s a lovely big pool with plenty of sunbeds.
