Turgutreis Bolero Apart Hotel

The hosts are really kind, and breakfast is good. The rooms were clean, and the sea is only about a five-minute walk away.

Nice.

We left our things at the hotel and went out as a family. When we got back that evening, the pillows were filthy and there was no running water. I went looking for staff, but nobody was there. We couldn’t stand it any longer, so we found another hotel and left at midnight. The next day, angry and upset, I called Enuygun to explain. They said I’d called too late and hadn’t told the hotel. I explained that there had been no staff there. How was I supposed to prove it, by filming a tour of the whole hotel? There was nothing tangible from either Enuygun’s or the hotel’s side. Why would I think to record the water not working at that moment? In the end, we lost time and money. It was a nightmare.

We felt so unsafe that we had nightmares about someone breaking in through the wooden door with paper taped over its glass, and ended up leaving the room to sleep in the car. There was a huge bug in my suitcase, condom wrappers on the floor, and disgusting things on the wall that I don’t even want to describe. The refrigerator was yellowed and moldy, and a horrible spicy-food smell came from outside. This place was a nightmare.
