Vonresort Abant

The grounds are a bit isolated, but they have plenty of pretty, Instagrammable spots. We loved the way the hotel grounds are laid out. The rooms had a lovely feel and a great view. We stayed in a two-storey unit, with the main bed and a toilet upstairs and a pantry and another toilet on the first floor. Having separate toilets was unusual for this kind of unit. Everything was very clean and laid out well. We would have liked to stay longer, but our tour package limited us to a short visit. We arrived and checked in after midnight. At that hour, staff elsewhere have sometimes greeted us with snide remarks or a disgusted look, but here they seemed genuinely concerned and worried. Everyone was warm and welcoming. They helped with our luggage and arranged the card access so we could check in and get some rest sooner. We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a beautiful place and even a short visit felt worthwhile. We only had a short visit with our tour group, under 12 hours, so there wasn’t time to enjoy the facilities or the surrounding area properly. Still, Von Resort Abant was very clean and well maintained, and felt comfortable and welcoming. The staff were friendly and looked after us well. The buffet was a highlight, with plenty of variety and excellent-tasting food. It’s a nice hotel with good service and quality meals, and we’d consider staying longer if we come back.

The breakfast was delicious and had lots of choices. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Ms. Semra at the front desk. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, though the upper level of the duplex room gets very hot. The location is excellent.

We stayed in the main building. It looks fairly new, or possibly recently renovated, and the room was a good size and clean. Breakfast was disappointing: not much variety, and after only 30 minutes the coffee cups had run out. There was just one waiter working, and they started after breakfast opening time.
