Yesil Ev Masal Evleri Hotel

The steak we ordered for dinner wasn’t great, though the rest of the food and experience were fantastic. Breakfast was generous, and we loved the jacuzzi in one of the rooms. We went in August as two couples, tried a few rooms, and found the summer prices very good. I think summer may be outside their peak season. It has a cozy, customized fairytale feel, with a lot of care put into the details. The owner told us that he, his parents, or their carpenter had handmade each element. We’d love to come back in winter and would recommend it to friends looking for an escape from busy Istanbul.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, with incredible views, delicious food, and first class hospitality. I’ve stayed at Yesil Ev many times, and it’s my favorite place in Turkey, particularly in winter when everything looks so picturesque. I’ve read some negative comments here that I don’t understand. Maybe they were looking for something else. I’d definitely recommend staying at Yesil Ev.

My husband and I stayed there twice last year, and I hope we can get back again this year. We wanted a quiet, peaceful vacation and found exactly that, though you can also have fun and socialize there.

The setting is lovely, and although the hotel sits beside a busy road, it somehow feels peaceful. There’s a pleasant garden for eating or hanging out in good weather, plus a variety of animals around, different on each visit. I can’t speak from experience about staying overnight, but I’ve heard the rooms have fairy tale decor, fireplaces, and large balconies overlooking the forest, at what sounded like a reasonable price. We came for Sunday breakfast on 04-11-2018. Since our previous visit, the breakfast seemed to have less food and lower quality, while the price had gone up. Water isn’t included, and a bottle costs 7tl. Reception and service were good, and the staff were polite and helpful. The place is beautiful, but it’s far from Abant lake.
