Just five tables in this friendly little place, and the zucchini flower appetizer was delicious. It’s one of the few places on the island where you can find it. Try it with island wine.

Our meal for five cost 1,000 TL: 7 appetizers, 2 main courses, and a 70cl bottle of raki. They also charged 50 TL for turnip juice, 40 TL for only five small watermelon slices, 30 TL for two cheeses, and 50 TL for 3-4 bottles of water. There was no price list, and the way they made money felt completely unfair. We went because of the high rating, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. The price and performance were both poor.

The fish we ate was delicious, but the way the tip was handled was disgraceful. A female employee tried to charge us 800 lira on a 715-lira bill. When we pointed it out, she asked, “Aren’t you going to leave a tip?” She hadn’t seen the money we put under the tip box, so she picked it up and flippantly asked, “Why is this empty?” Then, after seeing what we’d left, she continued questioning us with, “Is that all?” We said we weren’t satisfied with the appetizers, but she kept up the unpleasant attitude and asked for quite a while, “Aren’t you satisfied with my service either?” We’d never experienced anything like it before, and felt embarrassed on her behalf.

The mezes are excellent. Don’t leave Bozcaada without trying the warm herb and island mix here. One particular meze we wanted wasn’t available that day, but they found it and brought it to us. Aysel Hanım served us and was very attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend this place :)
